City Shul community for helping out during our just completed shiva for our father Millard z"l. The meals, visits and minyanim and seeing that our overall needs were being taken care of, is something that we will never forget. Special thanks to Rabbi Tendler, as well as the Rush family and the List family. We were all touched so deeply by your efforts to organize meals, see to our Shabbos needs and so many other acts of kindness too numerous to mention. I apologize if I left anyone out. Community Initiative to Strengthen Families (CISF) is excited to announce the launch of its new website at cisfstl.org. ONLINE REGISTRATION is now open for the FAMILY POWER WORKSHOP. Couples are invited to sign up on the website and choose the FAMILY POWER team with whom they would like to train. There is an “Early Bird Special” of $125.00 per couple for the first 26 couples who register.

Nusach Hari B'nai Zion & St Louis Friends of Israel jointly present an evening of Israel. Please join us December 24 at 5:15 for an Israeli dinner ($12 for adults, $7 for children, ages 5 and under free and a family max of $35). Following dinner we will watch "In Our Hands: the Battle for Jerusalem". The movie was shown in dozens of sold out theaters in the spring to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the re-unification of Jerusalem. The film tells the story of the Battle for Jerusalem in the Six Day War through the eyes of the IDF's 55th Paratrooper Brigade, highlighting their role in the liberation of Jerusalem. If you are unable to join us for the dinner, you are welcome to join around 6:15 for the movie.
